Truckee football loses heartbreaker to Colfax

The Truckee High football team lost a heartbreaker to visiting Colfax, 22-21, in a non-league contest Saturday afternoon.

After falling behind 16-0 early in the first quarter, Truckee scored 21 unanswered points to take a 21-16 lead with 1:34 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Starting from their own 26-yard line with 1:26 on the clock, the Falcons marched 74 yards on five consecutive passes of 15, 22, 12, 9 and 16 yards to score the go-ahead touchdown with 3 seconds remaining.

Truckee is now 1-1 on the season.
