The Truckee High swim team, particularly its girls’ squad, flexed its muscle in a league meet against Wooster and Sparks on Saturday.

Individually, Truckee highlights included two first-place finishes from senior team captain Arek O’Connell, who won the 100 fly with a time of 58:34 and the 100 free in 53:76 ” which was far from his best time, Dewey said.

Justin Ondry placed first in the 100 backstroke in 1:11.40.

On the girls’ side, Cara Silvas won the 200 free in 2:05.38, and Angela Raso won the 100 fly in 1:14.02.
