Truckee home burns

An unoccupied Truckee home burned Wednesday morning, causing as much as $400,000 in damage, according to the Truckee Fire Protection District.

Three fire engines, and an ambulance from Truckee Fire were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 16134 Canterbury Lane in the Glenshire subdivision at 6:23 a.m. Northstar and Squaw Valley each supplied a fire engine for mutual aid and North Tahoe Fire supplied an ambulance. No adjacent properties were damaged.

The entire three-bedroom, two-story home was involved in fire when the first engine arrived. The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is currently under investigation.
