Truckee man arrested for possession, distribution of child sexual abuse material

TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee Police Department has arrested a local man for allegedly possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.

Davor Marin, 29, of Truckee, was placed under arrest on Friday following an investigation, which originated from a cyber tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Upon receiving the tip, the case was assigned to detectives within Truckee Police’s Investigations Unit. After multiple search warrants were issued in order to locate the source and responsible individual, detectives seized numerous pieces of electronics and storage devices from a residence within the Tahoe Donner subdivision.

A forensic search of the devices uncovered more than 600 images of child sexual abuse material depicting sexual abuse to minors under the age of 12.

Marin was booked into the Truckee Jail where his bail was set at $100,000. He is no longer in custody, according to Nevada County Sheriff’s Office
