Law enforcement officials are on the lookout for Jesus Lopez Gaytan, a Truckee resident who was reported missing on Saturday.

Truckee Police sent out a bulletin to all California and Nevada law enforcement agencies regarding Gaytan, who described as 48 years old with brown eyes, black or gray hair and five feet five inches tall.

Gaytan’s identification and credit cards were still at his Sunset Inn home, said Truckee Police Sgt. Tim Hargrove, and he is assumed to be on foot since no vehicle was missing from his residence.

Gaytan’s family said he disappeared on July 4 at 7 p.m.

Truckee police are attempting to contact his family members in Mexico to see if he has spoken with them, said Hagrove.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Jesus Lopez Gaytan is asked to contact the Truckee Police Department at 530-550-2330.
