Staff report

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Truckee Mayor Alicia Barr will provide a comprehensive update of town happenings and projects as part of next week’s Good Morning Truckee meeting.

According to a news release from the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce, Barr is scheduled to talk about the economic health of the town, the Highway 89 Mousehole and Brickelltown Streetscape Improvement projects, and the Trails & Bikeways Master Plan, among other topics.

The Tuesday, Oct. 13, meeting will also include a presentation from the Orthopedics/Sports Medicine Advisory Council on “a collaborative project initiated by 34 key community leaders.”

“This group saw an opportunity to solve a problem and have been working collaboratively for three years with hospital physicians and staff,” officials said. “Hear more about the project, its history and vision — with an emphasis on its relevance to our community.”

Presenters will include Pam Hobday, Dr. Jeff Dodd, Dr. Nina Winans, and Robb Etnyre.

Good Morning Truckee meetings are open to the public. They are held the second Tuesday of every month at Truckee Tahoe Airport from 7 to 8:30 a.m.
