Truckee Police logs, Aug. 28-Sept. 4

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Departmentand#8217;s press log for Aug. 28 to Sept. 4, along with previously unreported incidents.

August 27

and#8226; Officers were dispatched to a location regarding a domestic dispute that occurred the evening prior. Evidence indicated spousal abuse did occur. The aggressor in the incident was later arrested without incident.

and#8226; A reporting party discovered a fraudulent check was cashed from his checking account.

August 28

and#8226; Police officers were called to a residence on West River Street for a report of a physical altercation between mother and son. Further investigation revealed mother had been burned by cooking oil upon the face. The son was contacted and subsequently arrested for battery. The mother was transported vial ambulance to Tahoe Forest Hospital and the son was transported to Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office.

and#8226; A reporting party noticed his wallet was missing after boarding the Amtrak train in Truckee. The wallet showed up in the lost and found in Sacramento with missing cash.

and#8226; Officers were dispatched to Donner Pass Road regarding a possible unlawful entry. The officers found the screens to the rear windows of the building damaged and removed. There was no missing property. An informational report was taken and the case was closed.

August 29

and#8226; A reporting party requested documentation for a minor threat he received from his previous roommate.

August 30

and#8226; Officers were dispatched to a neighbor dispute over loud music on Royal Way. The suspect was contacted and found to be intoxicated, howling at the moon and playing loud music. The suspect was arrested for drunk in public with no charges pending.

and#8226; A subject called the reporting party at his work and told the reporting party to stay away from his girlfriend and stop talking to her. A report was taken and documented due to the reporting party was afraid the subject wants to fight him.

August 31

and#8226; Officers took a report of an outgoing disturbance of peace between two neighbors. The suspect was intoxicated and maliciously slamming doors and keeping his neighbors awake. The suspect wanted to keep his neighbors awake during the night, because they disturbed his rest during the day. The suspect was placed under citizenand#8217;s arrest for disturbing the peace.

and#8226; A male subject grabbed his ex-girlfriend and pushed her into a wall. A teacher tried to intervene and the subject threatened the teacher as well. The subject was arrested and booked into Nevada County Jail in Nevada City.

and#8226; Officers observed two subjects smoking marijuana. Investigation revealed a 19-year-old was providing a 15-year-old with marijuana. The 19-year-old was booked for providing marijuana to a minor, and the 15-year-old was cited and released to a parent for possession of marijuana and tobacco.

and#8226; A reporting party stated a known person approached him and challenged him to fight and threaten him. The reporting party wanted the incident to be reported.

September 2

and#8226; A subject was cited and released for shoplifting from a local store on Donner Pass Road.

and#8226; Loss prevention officer witnessed a suspect shoplift a can opener from a local store and attempt to leave the store without paying for the item. The suspect was detained and later cited and released for shoplifting. The case was forwarded to the District Attorneyand#8217;s office for prosecution.

and#8226; A single vehicle drove off the road and struck a tree on Brockway Road. A report was taken for property damage only, there are no injuries.

and#8226; A subject was located staggering down a sidewalk and into roadway on commercial row on Donner Pass Road. The subject was arrested for being intoxicated in public.

and#8226; A patrol vehicle was hit with an egg while driving on Northwoods Boulevard at Hansel. Officers checked the area for suspects and located a parked vehicle on public roadway. The vehicle registration was expired more than 6 months. Also, evidence of eggs was located in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed for registration expiration and the property in the vehicle was booked for safekeeping.

September 3

and#8226; Officers responded to a found property call. A citizen reported finding a boysand#8217; BMX-style bike at the state park on Brockway Road.

and#8226; A driver was stopped for vehicle code violation on Donner Pass Road at Glenshire Drive. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office for booking.

and#8226; Officers reported a group of juveniles vandalized a mail box with a golf club. The incident occurred on Rainbow Drive.
