TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are incidents from The Truckee Police Departmentand#8217;s press log for Dec. 20-27, 2011, as well as previously unreported incidents.

Nov. 16

and#8226; A fraud investigator for a local bank chain reported a fraudulent check passes at the Truckee branch from a compromised account. The fraud investigator followed up on the case and requested that fraud charges be filed against a suspect. Case forwarded to the district attorneyand#8217;s office for review.



Dec. 4

and#8226; At 5 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers responded to a report of an unknown suspect who broke into a locked gas tan from a van and stole about 20 gallons of fuel.

and#8226; At 10 a.m., a local ski area was reported as being vandalized.

and#8226; At noon on Highland Avenue, person reported the loss of half of a motorcycle license plate. A report was taken.

Dec. 20

and#8226; At 10 a.m. on Brockway Road, a person called the police department to report theft of ice skates from a local park. The person requested a report for documentation only.

Dec. 21

and#8226; At 8:38 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, a person reported an unknown suspect vandalized and stole equipment out of a vehicle parked at a local gas station.

Dec. 22

and#8226; At 10:22 p.m. on Donner Pass Road at Commercial Row, a subject was located fighting on the sidewalk. The subject was arrested for being intoxicated in public.

and#8226; At 6 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, a victim reported that an unknown suspect(s) had drilled a hole in the victimand#8217;s gas tank and removed fuel. A report was taken.

Dec. 24

and#8226; At 6:30 a.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, officers responded to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male subject had a felony domestic violence warrant. The subject was arrested.

and#8226; Truckee Police took a courtesy report for the Sierra County Sheriffand#8217;s Office. A female at Tahoe Forest Hospital reported at about 11:30 p.m. an injury caused by her boyfriend. After Tahoe Forest notified police, officers arrived and were told by the victim the injury occurred while and#8220;messing aroundand#8221; with a bunch of people and was adamant the injury was not caused by her boyfriend.

Dec. 25

and#8226; At 11 a.m., a person came to the Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office to report a batter by his ex-wife. The victim said he wanted a report generated to document the incident.

and#8226; At 1 a.m. on Northwoods Boulevard, a person reported that an unknown suspect(s) had broken the passenger side window of the personand#8217;s vehicle and stole items off the front seat.

and#8226; At 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 89 and Interstate 80, a suspect was found walking around the highway without a shirt. The suspect was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.

Dec. 26

At about 8:51 p.m. near the intersection of Northwoods Boulevard and Donner Pass Road, an officer found a box of new sports equipment. The property was booked for safekeeping.
