Truckee police logs for April 7-15

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are incidents taken from the Truckee Police Departmentand#8217;s daily press log from April 7-15, in addition to previously unrecorded incidents reported during the week.

Driving Under the Influence: 3

Vehicle Accident: 2

March 28

Trespassing: At 12 p.m. on St. Bernard Drive a second homeowner reported possible unauthorized use of his residence while he was away.

April 8

Warrant: At 1:26 p.m. on Silver Fir Drive a subject was arrested and booked at Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office for a Nevada County misdemeanor bench warrant.

Vandalism: At 4 p.m. on Donner Pass Road air conditioning units on top of a commercial building were reported to have been vandalized with graffiti.

April 10

Intoxication: At 1:36 a.m. on Pioneer Trail a driver reported a subject dangerously intoxicated. Police contacted and arrested the subject for public intoxication and transferred the subject to Tahoe Forest Hospital where the subject was cited and released.

Vandalism: At 4:46 p.m. on Glenshire Drive officers responded to a report of suspects spraying graffiti. On arrival officers arrested two subject for vandalism, citing and releasing them for misdemeanor of vandalism.

Warrants: At 9:24 p.m. at the intersection of Donner Pass Road and Cold Stream Road a subject was stopped for a vehicle registration violation and arrested, cited and released for two misdemeanor warrants from Butte County.

April 11

Probation violation: At 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Brockway Road and Martis Drive a juvenile was found sleeping in a ditch on the side of the road. The juvenile was found to be under the influence of an unknown substance and unable to care for himself. Officers found the juvenile was on probation, citing him before placing him the care of his parents.

Stolen vehicle: At 7:18 p.m. on Henness Flat Road officers responded to a stolen vehicle report.

April 12

Fighting: At 11:50 a.m. on Alder Drive a physical altercation occurred resulting in the arrest of one juvenile student.

Probation violation: At 10 a.m. on Martis Valley Road a probation search was conducted on a subject who was found in violation of probation terms and transported to county probation to be further dealt with.

Battery: At 3:13 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard a man reported being hit by his live-in girlfriend who he had a child in common. She was contacted and arrested for domestic violence.

April 13

Meth sales: At 2:26 p.m. on Highland Avenue Placer County Probation conducted a search at a Truckee address and found a quantity of methamphetamine and evidence of sales. Multiple subjects were involved and booked at Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office Jail in Truckee.

Edgewood Tahoe to host US Open qualifier


STATELINE, Nev. — The United States Golf Association recently announced that Edgewood Tahoe Resort will host one of 109 local qualifying tournaments for the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
