Truckee police logs include numerous entries for holiday season
TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are reports from the Truckee Police Department from the pas couple weeks of patrols.
At midnight on Herringbone Way police received reports of an alleged burglary from a residence.
At 5:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road items were allegedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
At 8 p.m. on Moraine Road an XM satellite radio was allegedly stolen from an unlocked car.
At 8:45 p.m. on Moraine Road two packages were allegedly stolen out of an unlocked car. One item was found in the roadway.
At 10 p.m. on Moraine Road police received reports of someone allegedly entering a vehicle and taking tools and sunglasses.
At 11:40 a.m. on Kieser Street police had a vehicle blocking a driveway towed.
At 2 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a non-injury hit-and-run vehicle collision.
At 7:45 p.m. on West River Street police contacted a subject for a welfare check at the request of relatives. Police found the subject allegedly unable to care for himself and took him into custody.
At 10:25 on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for erratic driving, but the driver was negative for driving under the influence. Both the driver and passenger were both allegedly in possession of marijuana.
At midnight on Edwin Way police stopped a vehicle for code violations and arrested the driver for alleged DUI.
At 3:25 p.m. on Waters Way police responded to reports of domestic violence, and arrested one male adult.
At 5 p.m. on Huntsman Leap police responded to a verbal domestic dispute.
At 9:45 p.m. on Glenshire Drive police responded to a vehicle that slid off the road and found the driver to allegedly be under the influence.
At 7:50 a.m. on Northwoods Boulevard police responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision.
At 5:55 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for passing on the right shoulder and driving at an unsafe speed, and allegedly detected the odor of alcohol on the driver. The driver refused to cooperate and was arrested.
At 1:25 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a person allegedly came into a bar intoxicated and was refused service. The person allegedly threw water at the bar tender and left with a beer he took off the bar. Police located and arrested the subject at another bar.
At 7:20 p.m. on Moraine Road police responded to a 911 open line. The officers found a verbal argument.
At midnight on Brookstone Drive police received reports of stolen snowboards from a truckand#8217;s open bed.
At 9 p.m. on Rosa Court an estranged husband and wife allegedly had a disagreement, and when the husband was asked to leave he allegedly declined. Police escorted the husband away and the situation was mediated.
At 5 p.m. on Deerfield Drive a person reported having left her purse in a restaurant.
At 11 p.m. on St. Bernard Drive an elderly person passed away.
At midnight police received reports of a theft at a local store.
At 10:50 p.m. on Donner Pass Road the female subject of a medical aid was voluntarily transported for assistance to the hospital.
At 6 a.m. on Martis Valley Road a person reported a verbal argument with her estranged husband.
At 3:30 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard police stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver for alleged DUI.
At 4:20 p.m. police responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision on Donner Pass Road.
At 11:55 p.m. on Interstate 80 police stopped a vehicle matching a description. The vehicle was not the one reported, but police allegedly found a loaded handgun in the vehicle.
At 11:25 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a person allegedly took property from a business. Police located the person and a civil compromise was reached.
At 2 p.m. on Thomas Drive police responded to a non-injury collision involving a town snow plow.
At 4:45 p.m. on Deerfield Drive two people were confronted by a store manager who allegedly saw them taking bottles of alcohol. The manager took them to the counter to pay, but they allegedly ran.
At 10:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road during a traffic stop a driver allegedly showed signs of intoxication. Police arrested the driver.
At 12:05 a.m. on Palisades Drive police observed two subjects allegedly trying to remove a banner from a bar. They fled on foot and were subsequently found hiding in the woods.
At 12:30 a.m. on Alley Way police found a person allegedly urinating on a telephone pole.
At 10;10 a.m. on Deerfield drive police responded to a minor-damage, non-injury collision.
At 10:45 a.m. on Soaring Way police responded to a minor-damage, non-injury traffic collision.
At 11:10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations and found the driver to allegedly be under the influence, and allegedly had a small amount of cocaine.
