Truckee Police logs, July 23-30

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Departmentand#8217;s press log for July 23-30, along with previously unreported incidents.

July 6

and#8226; A victim has received over 30 phone calls from a number that says and#8220;unavailableand#8221;. When victim told the suspect to quit calling, he was threatened. The victim does not fear the threat but wants to report the incident.

July 23

and#8226; A reporting party called Truckee Police Department reporting a family member was unresponsive lying in a campground at the Donner State Memorial Park. It was subsequently determined the subject was deceased.

July 24

and#8226; Officers stopped a vehicle for Vehicle Code Violation on Highway 267 at Soaring Way. The driver was arrested for DUI. The jail staff located illegal narcotics in the suspectand#8217;s property. The suspect was charged additional charge for possession of a controlled substance.

July 25

and#8226; The reporting party contacted the police after an individual attempt to cash a counterfeit bill at the business on Donner Pass Road. The suspect left prior to law enforcement contact. The case details were documented.

and#8226; The mother of 3-year-old child is currently on court summary probation with an alcohol clause. The mother was contacted, and it was determined she had consume alcohol. The mother was subsequently arrested for violation on probation and child endangerment.

and#8226; Officer took a report of theft of unsecured bicycle on Palisades Drive.

and#8226; A motorist reported another driver operating vehicle while intoxicated. The police arrived thereafter, contacted the driver and found the subject to be intoxicated. The driver was subsequently transported to Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office and booked without further incident.

July 26

and#8226; A juvenile entered a business on Donner Pass Road twice and stole merchandise. The juvenile left scene when confronted by store employees. One of the employees wrote down the license plate of the vehicle that the juvenile was driving. The police contacted the parents by phone and the juvenile turned himself in after mother called him and told him to contact the police.

and#8226; A husband and a wife were involved in a physical altercation which resulted in both parties receiving minor visible injuries. The investigation revealed that the husband was the primary aggressor and was subsequently arrested for domestic violence.

July 27

and#8226; An unknown suspect broke the plate glass window on a sliding door with an unknown object.

and#8226; Officers took an informational report to document a civil dispute between vacationers and a homeowner regarding parking issues.

July 28

and#8226; Officers took a report of petty theft on Snow Peak Way. Property was removed from victimand#8217;s vehicle.

and#8226; A subject reported his brother missing. Later the missing brother was located in Grass Valley. He was removed from the missing person system.

Aug. 1

and#8226; A victim wanted to report her mountain bike as being stolen from a storage shed at the rear of her residence by an unknown individual sometime between August of last year and todayand#8217;s date. A report was taken for information only.
