TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Below are incidents taken from the Truckee Police Departmentand#8217;s daily press log for July 28-Aug. 11

DUI: 1

Accidents: 4

Public intoxication: 1

July 28

Possession: At 3:39 p.m. at the Rodeo parking lot a minor was found in possession of alcohol; he was cited and released to his parents.

Vandalism: At 11 p.m. on Norse Avenue unknown subjects used a chainsaw to chop down a reporting partyand#8217;s pine tree located in their backyard.

Vandalism: At 12:48 a.m. on Northwoods Boulevard unknown subjects defecated into two pools before throwing a couch into one of the pools.

Petty theft: At 8 a.m. on West River Street a victim reported his prescription medications has been stolen.

July 29

Shoplifting: At 2:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a subject was cited for shoplifting at a local drug store.

July 31

DUI: Officers stopped a driver of a golf cart for vehicle code violations then found the golfer was driving under the influence. Officers arrested and booked the golfer at the Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office.

Aug. 1

Battery: A domestic battery was reported to police by the victimand#8217;s father. Upon arrival, police arrested and detained the suspect for the aggression against the reported victim and against the victim.

Defrauding providers: At 5:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road two female suspects entered a restaurant, ate food and then left without paying.

Aug. 3

Broken window: At 9:34 a.m. an involved party accidentally shot an arrow through a neighborand#8217;s window.

Vandalism: At 12:01 a.m. on Estates Drive gang related graffiti was reported on a complex in the Riverview area.

Aug. 4

Intoxication: At 12 a.m. on Donner Pass Road officers arrested a man for public intoxication after it was determined he was unable to care for himself.

Aug. 5

Drunk cyclist: At 3:30 a.m. on a bicycle path near Highway 89 North officers found a bicyclist whoand#8217;d crashed while riding his bike. Officers cited and released the cyclist after he was found to be intoxicated.

Aug. 6

Petty theft: At 8 a.m. on Dorchester Drive an unknown person stole a wallet our of an unlocked vehicle and a fishing pole out of a truck bed.

Aug. 8

Shoplifting: At 4 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a subject was located using a license plate number after he was observed stealing a 25 pound bag of dog food.

Defrauding a restaurant: At 7:10 p.m. on Deerfield Drive a local restaurant manager reported a male and female couple had left without paying for their food. The coupleand#8217;s credit card was declined multiple times before they decided to evade the restaurant owner and exit the building. A patron who witnessed the incident paid the bill for the couple; however, the manager requested police make an informational report.

Aug. 9

Dispatched deer: At 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Northwoods Boulevard and Fjord Road officers were called out to dispatch an injured deer.

Vandalism: At 10 p.m. on West River Street gang graffiti was reported on two buildings.
