TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for March 17-April 8, along with previously unreported incidents.DUIs: 9Drunk in public: 2Accidents: 4Undisclosed date/timeandamp;#8226; A teacher at a local school found marijuana on a student. The student, who is on probation, was cited and released to a parent.March 17andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 4:45 p.m. that an unknown person cut the brake cable leading to the front passenger brake hub of a vehicle on Rue Hilltop Road.March 19andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 8 p.m. that an unknown person removed the rear license plate from a vehicle on the 11000 block of Brockway Road.March 20andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at a home on Estates Drive at 8:10 a.m. that an unknown person had stolen a personandamp;#8217;s cellphone. The person, a juvenile, was later found, and the suspect admitted to taking the phone. Subject cited and released to parents.andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at about 4 p.m. that an unknown suspect(s) had vandalized a residential communityandamp;#8217;s recreation center. The suspect(s) used black spray paint to graffiti different areas of the parking lot and building.March 21andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report of a burglary at home on Lee Road; suspect(s) broke into the residence and stole ski equipment. The equipment was found leaning at a neighborandamp;#8217;s house.March 24andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at about 11:54 a.m. at a residence on Waters Way of a physical disturbance. One subject was arrested for batter and an outstanding felony warrant for violation of probation.March 25andamp;#8226;A vehicle was stopped at 9 p.m. near Pioneer Trail and Donner Pass Road. Passenger observed concealing items under his legs. Passenger was found to have 25 Oxycodone pills; subject did not have a prescription and was booked into Truckee jail without incident.andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 1:30 p.m. that an unknown suspect(s) had broken into a local business on Deerfield Drive and stole money.March 28andamp;#8226; During a search warrant search at a home on Lee Road at about 6:48 a.m., officers located narcotics. Suspect admitted the narcotics belonged to him; he was arrested and charged with several criminal violations.andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at noon that an unknown suspect(s) had broken a window and gained unauthorized access to residence on Davos Drive and stole electronics.March 30andamp;#8226; A known suspect admitted to taking and possessing a firearm from a home on Patty Avenue.April 1andamp;#8226; Officers responded at 2 a.m. to a report of vandalism done to a vehicle in a driveway on S. Shore Drive. Windshield wiper arms were broken off and rear-view mirror was damaged. Damage valued at $500. No suspect.andamp;#8226; At about 9 p.m., a report came in of a suspicious vehicle with four occupants next to a residence on Brockway Road. Three juveniles and one adult were contacted in the vehicle. It was determined the adult had provided marijuana and facilitated the juveniles in smoking it/ Adult arrested and booked in Truckee jail.April 2andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 5:29 p.m. at a home on Glenshire Drive of two brothers who were involved in a physical confrontation during a family meeting. After the altercation, one of the brothers fled and was later contacted and became combative with officers. That suspect andamp;#8212; a juvenile andamp;#8212; and another brother not involved in the original altercation were arrested after an altercation with officers. Both juveniles were transported to juvenile hall.andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 5:19 p.m. of a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and fire hydrant on Jeffery Pine Road; the hydrant was damaged.April 4andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 1:42 a.m. to an undisclosed location on Donner Pass Road in downtown that a suspect had kicked in the back door and damaged the lock. Subject was arrested for public intoxication and vandalism.April 5andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 5 p.m. from a person who reported his vehicle had been stolen near Bridge and Jiboom streets. The reporting called back an hour later, stating he accidentally forgot where he parked it.andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 6 p.m. from a person who said she had received numerous text messages from her ex-husband.April 6andamp;#8226; Officers responded to a report at 6:05 a.m. that an unknown suspect had attempted to gain unlawful access to a residence on Davos Drive.April 8andamp;#8226; Officers stopped a vehicle at around midnight on Pioneer Trail. A consent search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of methamphetemine. Driver arrested and booked in Truckee jail.
