TRUCKEE, Calif. – Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Sept. 18-25, along with previously unreported incidents.Sept. 18• A victim reported vandalism to his vehicle and wanted the case to be documented for informational purposes. The incident occurred on Brockway Road.• An off duty law enforcement officer called in a possible DUI driver. Police officers located the vehicle being driven and performed a traffic enforcement stop. The driver was arrested for DUI.Sept. 19• A subject was stopped for vehicle code violations on Donner pass Road. The subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested for DUI. The vehicle was towed and the subject was booked at Nevada County Sheriff’s Office in Truckee.• A subject was contacted downtown and found to be intoxicated. The subject was ejected from local bar for entering without identification/proof of age. The subject became combative with patrons and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication and booked into Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.Sept. 20• Officers responded to a report of three persons who were just involved in a physical altercation on Martis Valley Road. The investigation resulted in one male subject being arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. • A female subject was arrested for public intoxication and released with no pending charges. • Officers responded to a property on West River Street to follow up on domestic violence incident that occurred prior. The domestic violence incident was documented and reported. While on scene, the victim of the domestic violence admitted to lying in the original domestic violence report and was subsequently arrested for false report. Sept. 21• A reporting party found a mountain bike on Badger Lane. Sept. 22• Officers reported a theft of property from an unlocked vehicle with associated vandalism to vehicle interior. There is no suspect information at this time. The incident occurred on East Ridge Road.Sept. 23• An Amtrak conductor called to report a subject who had boarded his train without a ticket. The subject was contacted and found to be too intoxicated to care of himself. He was booked for drunk in public. The District Attorney will review the case for charge of fare evasion. • Officers took a report of a physical fight a male and a female on the westbound interstate 80 off ramp at Central Truckee. The male was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and the female was arrested for public intoxication. • A subject was contacted passed out inside vehicle with paraphernalia on her lap on Alder Drive. A search of her belongings revealed illegal prescription medication and other paraphernalia. • A bicycle was left unattended on East River Street. The bike was booked into evidence at the Police Department for storage.• A male subject was involved in a verbal altercation with a customer on Church Street. The following day, the male subject found his front windshield was vandalized.
