Truckee police logs, week of Aug. 26-31

The following are Truckee Police reports from the Aug. 26-31.

Aug. 26

At 7:45 a.m. a resident came into the Truckee Police Department to file a counter accident report when a rental car he was driving backed into a piece of heavy equipment.



At 10:30 a.m. at Pier 16 on Donner Lake a man reported his 14-foot canoe had been stolen.

At 2:16 p.m. on Highway 89 South officers responded to a non-injury, two-car collision.



At 4 p.m. on Donner Pass Road in downtown Truckee a police department vehicle was involved in a non-injury collision.

At 6:13 p.m. on Placer Dam Road in Glenshire officers put down a deer.

Aug. 27

At 8:08 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a student was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance when school staff alerted police.

At 9:01 a.m. on Alder Creek Drive a suspect was found to be in possession of a controlled substance but was eventually released.

At 9:53 a.m. on Church Street a private partyand#8217;s vehicle was towed by dispatch.

At 2:47 p.m. on Cinnabar Way a husband reported his ex-wife was in violation of their court order.

At 3:25 p.m. a woman came to the police department to report her ex-boyfriend had sent her sexually explicit text messages in violation of a valid court order.

At 3:33 p.m. at the Interstate 80 off ramp/Highway 89 intersection, officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury collision.

At 4:09 a.m. by the intersection of Donner Pass Road and Sierra Avenue, officers stopped a driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Aug. 28

At 8:30 p.m. on Deerfield Drive an officer was dispatched to a store where an allegedly intoxicated shoplifter was fighting with a store employee outside the store entrance. The officer reported the suspected shoplifter began fighting with the officer after he identified himself. The suspect was restrained and arrested.

At 11:23 p.m. on Alder Drive officers responded to a report of domestic violence only to find the suspect fled the residence in a vehicle and collided into a parked trailer. The suspect fled the accident scene and was later located and arrested.

Aug. 29

At 7:49 p.m. a subject heading eastbound on Interstate 80 was cited and released for an outstanding out-of-county misdemeanor warrant.

Aug. 30

At 8:51 a.m. on Deerfield Drive officers were alerted by a property owner and business owners of transients camping behind businesses there. Police reported the transients were contacted and previously advised of trespassing. The transients were then cited and released for trespassing.

At 3:53 p.m. on Village Way police were alerted of a battery case when a subject got into a physical altercation with her mother.

At 10:09 p.m. near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 89, a driver was contacted by police during a consensual encounter and was found without a driverand#8217;s license. He was cited by officers, then released.

At 10:32 p.m. at the intersection of Donner Pass Road and Summit Drive a suspect was arrested for driving under the influence.

Aug. 31

At 11:42 a.m. on Glacier View Drive a subject was a witness to a landlord/tenant dispute and he was found to have an out-of-county warrant. Officers arrested the subject and he was booked into the Nevada County Sheriffand#8217;s Office Jail in Truckee.
