Truckee Police Reports: Aug. 20 – 25, 2008

The following were taken from the Town of Truckee Police records from Aug. 20 through Aug. 25

Aug. 20

At 12:30 p.m. on Deerfield Drive, police received reports that an unknown suspect damaged a victim’s vehicle with a sharp object.

At 1:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received a citizens report of a possible DUI driver. Officers subsequently located the vehicle and the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

At 3:55 p.m. on South Shore Drive, police found a subject intoxicated on the beach. The subject was on court probation and was arrested for public intoxication and violating the terms of the probation.

At 9:45 p.m. on Rocky Lane, during an accident investigation, officers determined the driver who hit a parked vehicle was driving under the influence and he was placed under arrest.

Aug. 21

At 5 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports that an unknown subject spray-painted graffiti on the wall of the new gymnasium.

Aug. 22

At 9:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police arrested a subject for public intoxication.

Aug. 23

At 2:25 a.m. on Palisades drive, police stopped a vehicle for a code violation and subsequently arrested the driver for driving under the influence.

At 2:45 p.m. on Frates Road, a two-vehicle non-injury collision occurred.

Aug. 24

At 3 p.m. on Royal Crest Way, police responded to a 911 hang up. Upon contacting the residence, officers determined a domestic dispute had occurred. The incident was in violation of a restraining order and the suspect was arrested.

At 9:10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police stopped a motorized scooter for a code violation and determined the driver to be on probation with a search clause. Upon searching the driver’s backpack, officers cited the driver for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Aug. 25

At 7 p.m. on Brockway Road, police located a juvenile in possession of marijuana and he was given a citation.

At 11:20 p.m. on Alley Street, a subject was seen riding his motorcycle with no helmet. Upon contacting the subject, officers found him to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
