Truckee Police Reports: July 16 – 21
Police reports are taken from the Truckee Police Department logs.
At 5:35 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a fire on a water craft. No injuries were sustained.
At 7:45 p.m. on Brockway Road, police cited and released a suspect for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
At 2 p.m. on Huntsman Leap, police received reports that a subject had left Truckee to return his 14-year-old daughter to her mother in San Leandro. The subject arrived in San Leandro, but has not returned home. A missing persons report was taken.
At 9:55 p.m. on Pine Avenue, police arrested a subject for public intoxication.
At 7:10 p.m. on Highway 89 South, police contacted a subject who was staggering the roadway and subsequently arrested him for public intoxication.
At 9:20 p.m. on South Shore Drive, police received reports that a bipolar, intoxicated subject had been making threats toward family members. Officers located the subject in the roadway in front of the residence and subsequently arrested him for public intoxication and possession of a switch blade.
At 1 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a subject causing problems in a bar. The subject was contacted and arrested for public intoxication.
At 1:25 a.m. on West River Street, police contacted and arrested a subject for public intoxication and possession of an open 40 ounce bottle of beer.
At 1:25 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, during a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver for driving under the influence.
At 2:20 a.m. on Brockway Road, officers contacted a subject for strange behavior. The subject was subsequently found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and she was arrested.
At 2:20 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, several subjects entered a store to purchase alcohol after legal selling hours. After being denied the sale, one subject came back to the store and stole a bottle of alcohol. Officers subsequently located the subjects and arrested the burglary suspect.
At 9:55 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, a two-vehicle minor-injury collision occurred.
At 12 p.m. on Deerfield Drive, the manager of a local business called to report a shoplifter. The suspect was located and arrested.
At 2 p.m. on Highway 89 South, police received reports of a Tahoe Forest Hospital patient who had been stabbed.
At 2:40 p.m. on Joerger Drive, a large fight broke out during an organized soccer game. Officers shut the game down and cleared the area.
At 4 p.m. on Waters Way, an unknown suspect entered a residence and removed a laptop computer and video camera.
