Truckee police reports log: June 24-June 30

June 24

At 8 a.m. Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District workers turned found property from the Regional Park in to Truckee Police.

At 11:20 a.m. on East River Street police contacted and arrested a person for alleged violation of probation.



At 1 p.m. on Pine Avenue hospital staff reported a female with injuries allegedly from domestic violence in the emergency room. Police located and arrested the male subject.

At 6:40 p.m. a person was allegedly seen with an open alcoholic beverage, and police determined the person to be under the age of 21. The person was cited and released.



June 25

At 12:20 a.m. on Palisades Drive police stopped a vehicle after observing it in a parking lot where the theft of beer had allegedly occurred. The vehicle allegedly fled the scene, but when stopped police determined the driver wasn’t involved, but was allegedly a minor in possession of a case of beer. The driver was cited and released to a parent.

At 12:20 a.m. on Palisades Drive several juveniles allegedly stole alcohol. Police have no suspect information at this time.

At 5 a.m. on Palisades Drive a person went into a business and stole a case of beer, but police received very little description, so the case is inactive.

At 1:35 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries.

At 4:35 p.m. on Levon Avenue a person with a felony warrant out of Sparks, Nev., was located outside the courthouse and arrested.

June 26

At 12:50 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a person was reported in the Commercial Row area intoxicated. The person was allegedly unable to care for herself and arrested.

At 10:15 a.m. on Nelson Street police found a person to have an active warrant and arrested the person.

At 11:50 a.m. on Indian Pine Road a person fell off her bicycle and was injured. The person was allegedly found to be intoxicated and in violation of probation terms, and after being medically cleared was transported to the Nevada County Sheriffs Office.

At noon on Skislope way a person reported a non-injury accident.

At 3:25 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person on a bicycle rode past a police vehicle and allegedly yelled at the officer to get his vehicle out of the roadway. The rider was allegedly weaving and blocking traffic. The officer contacted the rider who allegedly tried to hide behind a residence and arrested the rider for driving under the influence, presenting false identification to a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

At 4:30 p.m. on West River Street a person reported his bear-safe garbage can was allegedly vandalized.

At 8:30 p.m. on Skislope Way police responded to an alleged physical altercation between husband and wife.

At 9:40 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a vehicle drove into a DUI checkpoint and the odor of marijuana was allegedly coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana.

At 10:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a driver was cited and released for allegedly driving on a suspended driver’s license.

June 27

At midnight on Deerfield Drive police located a vehicle with expired registration tags from October 2008. The vehicle was towed.

At 1:45 a.m. on Washoe Road a person was allegedly being belligerent in the middle of the street and was arrested for public intoxication.

At 11:20 a.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations and allegedly found the driver in possession of a marijuana smoking pipe and an imitation firearm. The driver was cited and released.

At 8:35 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

June 28

At 5 p.m. on Palisade Street police received a report of the theft of a radio from an unlocked vehicle.

June 29

At 7 a.m. on Briar Circle police received reports of a husband and wife allegedly involved in a physical exchange during a domestic dispute.

At 9:20 p.m. on Highway 267 police stopped a vehicle for code violations and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

At 10:10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person who had an active arrest warrant was contacted and arrested.

At 11:45 p.m. on West River Street a juvenile was allegedly seen walking with a bottle of alcohol. Police contacted and arrested the juvenile for public intoxication.

June 30

At 7:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person was reported to allegedly be intoxicated and pan-handling. Police arrested the subject.

At 8 p.m. on Donner Pas Road police contacted a driver after he was allegedly observed nearly causing an accident. The officer arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

At 10 p.m. on River Loop an unknown person allegedly threw a spark plug at a parked vehicle causing damage to a window.

At 10:20 p.m. on River Street police contacted a person with an open beer. Police advised the person to pour out the beer. The person was allegedly intoxicated and told the officer he would take a taxi, but the officer allegedly saw the subject driving about 15 minutes later. The person was arrested for driving under the influence.

At 11:30 p.m. on Estates Drive police stopped a vehicle for allegedly crossing a double yellow line. Police found the juvenile driver allegedly didn’t have a license, cited the juvenile, and released him to a parent.
