Truckee police reports log, June 30-July 8
At 3 p.m. on Henness Road, a storage trailer on a residential construction site was broken into, but nothing was reported taken. The home being built was vandalized with orange spray paint.
At 3 p.m. on Pioneer Trail a person reported a 10-speed bicycle stolen from their front yard.
At 7:15 a.m. on Highway 89, police cited and released a person for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
At midnight on Donner Pass Road police contacted and arrested a person for an outstanding felony warrant.
At 2:10 p.m. on West River Street police responded to a two-vehicle collision with no injuries.
At 2:20 p.m. on Highway 89 south a person called in a possible DUI. Patrol units located and stopped the vehicle, and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
At 6:20 p.m. on Bridge Street, a bicycle patrol officer located a subject walking downtown who had an outstanding felony warrant. The officer stopped and detained the subject, and allegedly found illegal narcotics in a search.
At midnight on Snowshoe Circle a person allegedly in possession of fraudulent registration tabs on a vehicle was arrested.
At midnight on Bridge Street a person was allegedly seen fighting a bouncer and was arrested for public intoxication.
At midnight on Northwoods Boulevard an unknown subject allegedly used a person’s internet account to convince the victim’s sibling to wire a money order.
At 2:30 p.m. on Coon Street an unknown subject allegedly severed the brake line and lacerated a tire on another person’s vehicle.
At 8 p.m. on Estates Drive a person reported his ex-wife was allegedly taking their daughter to alcohol treatment meetings against a court order.
At 8L30 a.m. on Donner Pass Road police found four vehicles parked on Commercial Row in violation of posted special event signs for the parade.
At 11 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a known person was allegedly using a high-pressure water delivery system to soak an on-duty police officer on bicycle patrol during the Fourth of July parade.
At 11:50 a.m. on Highway 89 south police responded to a hit-and-run collision, the suspected vehicle was not located.
At noon on Manchester Drive an unknown subject allegedly entered a person’s home and took medication without permission.
At 1:35 p.m. on Donner Lake police cited and released a person for harbor and navigation code, and the person turned in a small folding knife for destruction.
At 2:50 p.m. on Donner Lake police responded to a collision involving a boat and a swimmer resulting in moderate injury.
At 8:15 p.m. on South Shore Drive a police found a person under the age of 21 allegedly drinking alcohol, and the person allegedly provided the officer false identification. The person was arrested.
At 8:15 on West End Beach an underage person was allegedly observed drinking alcohol, and the person allegedly lied about her age. Officers arrested the person.
At 8:25 p.m. on South Shore Drive an underage person was allegedly seen drinking alcohol. The person allegedly lied about her age and then ran from police. The person was later located and arrested.
At 10 p.m. on South Shore Drive an unknown person allegedly took another person’s property without permission or consent.
At 10:40 p.m. on South Shore Drive a juvenile left West End Beach was allegedly extremely intoxicated. Police arrested the person and later released him to parents.
At 10:55 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a bicyclist suspected to be under the influence swerved in front of a vehicle and was struck by the vehicle.
At 11:35 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police determined a driver to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into Nevada County Jail.
At 4 a.m. on Deerfield Drive a person was arrested for alleged public intoxication.
At 9:10 a.m. on Moraine Road a person was struck by his own vehicle while performing a backing maneuver.
At 2:50 p.m. on Indian Jack Road a bicycle was found roadside and brought to Truckee Police.
At 7:50 a.m. on South Shore Drive a person reported vandalism to a metal fence surrounding private property.
At 9 a.m. on Manchester Drive a known subject was seen allegedly placing dog feces on another person’s driveway in violation of a court order.
At 1 p.m. on Bridge Street police stopped a vehicle and found the driver allegedly had a suspended license. The driver was also allegedly found in possession of marijuana. The juvenile passenger was allegedly in possession of a marijuana pipe.
At 1:45 p.m. on Donner Pass Road someone reported found property in the roadway near a public dock.
At 10 p.m. on Alder Creek Road police responded to a single-vehicle collision, and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
At 8:55 a.m. on Glenshire Drive police responded to a minor accident between a vehicle and a bicyclist.
At 2:35 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a traffic collision.
At 1:40 a.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for weaving and a mechanical violation, and determined the driver was allegedly under the age of 21 and under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested.
