Truckee Police Reports: May 29 – June 4, 2008
The following reports were taken from the Truckee Police Department logs from May 29 through June 4.
At 11:25 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a two-vehicle collision.
At 3 p.m. on Rolands Way, a victim reported gasoline had been siphoned from his vehicle by an unknown suspect.
At 6 p.m. on West River Street, police received reports that a witness observed a suspect punching a hole into a victim’s oil pan on his vehicle. The suspect was later contacted and arrested for vandalism.
At 6:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police responded to reports that a female was located on the shoulder of the road in distress. Upon contact, officers discovered the female was intoxicated, and she was medically cleared and booked.
At 2:30 a.m. on High Street, police contacted a male subject and arrested him for public intoxication.
At 2:50 p.m. on Brockway Road, an animal control officer located a subject in the regional park with an unleashed dog. The subject was subsequently arrested for two outstanding warrants.
At 12:45 a.m. on Alder Drive, police responded to reports of a physical fight with all parties apparently intoxicated. Upon arrival, the parties were separated and one subject was arrested for public intoxication.
At 8:35 p.m. on River Street, police responded to reports that a female was jumping into the roadway in front of vehicles and waving around a stuffed animal. She was contacted and arrested for public intoxication.
At 9:50 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports of a female lying in front of the bus depot. Upon contact, officers arrested the subject for public intoxication and numerous warrants.
At 12 a.m. on Brockway Road, officers stopped a vehicle after the occupants were observed allegedly trying to steal a wood-burning stove. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested for driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, a probation violation and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
