Truckee Police Reports: Sept. 18 – 24, 2008
The following reports were taken from Town of Truckee police logs from Sept. 18 through Sept. 24
At 8:30 a.m. on Crestview Drive, police received reports that a husband and wife were arguing over a child going to school. Both parties agreed to separate for the day and the child was taken to school.
At 11:50 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports that three students engaged in a fight on school grounds.
At 7:25 p.m. on China Camp Road, a victim was involved in a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle traffic collision.
At 11 p.m. on Brockway Road, police received reports that a subject was assaulted while working at a local bar.
At 3:20 p.m., police contacted a subject at his work and placed him under arrest for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
At 9:35 p.m. on Bridge Street, police located a subject staggering downtown after being involved in an altercation. The subject was arrested for public intoxication.
At 4:15 a.m. on Royal Crest, police stopped a vehicle for a code violation and subsequently arrested the driver for driving under the influence.
At 8:55 a.m. on Donner Pass Road, police contacted and released a subject for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
At 3:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, police received reports that a suspect shoplifted several bottles of alcohol from a store. The suspect fled the scene and a report was taken.
At 7:20 p.m. on Highway 80, officers contacted and arrested a subject for public intoxication.
At 1:30 a.m. on Glenshire Drive, police stopped a vehicle for a code violation and subsequently arrested the driver for driving under the influence.
At 3:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, subject was issued a misdemeanor citation for trespassing onto a moving train.
At 10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road, officers found a vehicle parked in the roadway with the driver hanging out the door. An investigation revealed that the driver had stolen the vehicle from Reno, and he was arrested.
At 1 p.m. on Mount Rose View Court, police received reports that a citizen discovered a one gallon plastic bottle containing approximately 200 hypodermic needles lying on the side of the road. The needles were taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital for destruction.
At 6:30 p.m. on Redbud Court, officers arrested a subject for four outstanding warrants.
At 7 p.m. on Shore Pine Road, police received reports of residential burglary with no known suspects.
