Truckee Police reports, week of Aug. 11-18
The following are Truckee Police reports from the week of Aug. 11-18.
At 2 p.m. on Donner Pass Road lost property was reported to Truckee Police.
At 5 p.m. on Old Mill Road police received a report of an iPod stolen from a locked vehicle.
At 5:30 p.m. on Northwoods Boulevard a person reported his credit card was fraudulently used via the Internet.
At 10 a.m. on Donner Pass Road a person reported a lost digital camera.
At 11:15 a.m. on Fairway Drive an unknown person or persons allegedly entered a vehicle through an open window, unlocked the door and stole property.
At 2:40 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a two-vehicle accident with minor complaint of pain.
At 9:10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person called police, stating he was following a vehicle which he believed was being driven by someone under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested the driver for alleged DUI.
At 9:10 p.m. on West River Street police responded to a single-vehicle collision with no injuries.
At 4 p.m. on Alder Drive a person observed a driver at an intersection who appeared to be passed out behind the wheel. Police located and stopped the vehicle for a code violation, and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
At 7:40 p.m. on Brockway Road Police found and arrested a subject who was allegedly so intoxicated he could not care for his own safety, and the subject allegedly resisted arrest.
At 10:20 p.m. on Brockway Road police stopped a vehicle for a code violation and arrested the passenger for allegedly possessing illegal narcotics.
At 1:50 a.m. on Glenshire Drive police arrested a person for allegedly driving under the influence.
At 1:25 p.m. on Brockway Road police contacted a subject who they found had an active warrant, and arrested the subject.
At 4 p.m. on Interstate 80 a person reported a lost wallet to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
At 5:50 p.m. on Glenshire Drive police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury collision.
At 9:40 p.m. on Highway 89 a person called in a possible drunk driver. Police located the vehicle and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
At 1:50 p.m. on Glenshire Drive following a traffic stop for a moving violation, police found the driver to allegedly be in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Police cited and released the driver and the marijuana was booked into evidence.
At 3 p.m. on Waters Way a person reported the theft of his car stereo from his unlocked vehicle. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of several subjects and the recovery of the stereo.
At 7:30 p.m. on Brockway Road an unknown person allegedly entered a vehicle and stole several items.
At midnight on Jeffrey Pine Road a person reported an in-progress residential burglary at a neighboring residence. Police intercepted the subjects as they allegedly attempted to flee on foot.
At 2:40 a.m. on Cold Stream Road several vehicles were allegedly burglarized. Subsequent investigation resulted in the partial recovery of missing items and subjects arrested.
At 12:10 p.m. on Palisades Drive a BMX bicycle was reported stolen.
At 9:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a juvenile for speeding. Police determined the juvenile allegedly didn’t have a license and had been arrested several times prior for the same offense. Police also determined the driver was on probation. The subject was arrested and booked into juvenile hall in Nevada City.
At 12:10 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a vehicle accident.
At 4:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision.
At 12:10 a.m. on Donner pass Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations. Upon walking up to the car, the officer observed two subjects in the back seat allegedly trying to hide several open alcoholic containers. Police cited one subject for a minor in possession of alcohol and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. A second subject was cited for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
At 1 p.m. on Martis Valley Drive a piece of luggage was located in the middle of the roadway.
At 2:30 p.m. on Deerfield Drive a person filed a counter report for a non-injury traffic accident that occurred in a parking lot.
