Truckee police reports, week of June 2-9

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The following are Truckee Police reports from the week of June 2-9.

June 2

At 10 a.m. on Donner Pass Road an unknown person allegedly entered an unoccupied residence and stole numerous items, including a paycheck. The person later allegedly tried to cash the check and was located and arrested with the stolen property.



At 3:40 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police responded to a two-vehicle collision.

At 5:15 p.m. on West River Street police stopped a vehicle for code violations and cited the driver for allegedly driving without a license.



June 3

At 2 p.m. on Waterloo Circle a person reported the unauthorized use of her credit card account.

At 5:30 p.m. on Pioneer Trail police received reports of a suspicious male allegedly staggering in the roadway, attempting to hitchhike near a public school. Police found the male to allegedly be intoxicated and uncooperative, and arrested him for public intoxication.

June 4

At 1:30 p.m. on Brockway Road police issued citations to two juveniles for graffiti.

At 4:40 p.m. on Cold Stream Road police responded to a hotel reporting unwanted guests in their hot tub. Police contacted two individuals, and arrested one for alleged possession of narcotics and being under the influence of narcotics.

June 5

At 12:30 p.m. on Hansel Avenue a deer was severely injured by a vehicle, and was killed.

At 1:15 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police contacted and arrested a person for three outstanding warrants. A second subject allegedly ran from officers, later located, and arrested for resisting arrest and an outstanding warrant.

At 8:50 p.m. on Interstate 80 police stopped a vehicle for allegedly not having a license plate, and cited the passenger who was found to have a misdemeanor warrant from Sierra County.

June 6

At 2:25 a.m. on Richards Boulevard police stopped a vehicle for alleged erratic driving and vehicle code violations, and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

At 9:45 a.m. on Deerfield Drive police responded to a single-bicycle accident during an event. The rider suffered injuries to his head and was transported to Renown Medical Center.

At 2:10 p.m. on Brockway Road police arrested an allegedly unlicensed driver for child endangerment due to a passenger being an 11-year-old.

At 2:35 p.m. on Dorchester Drive police responded to a vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision with minor injuries.

At 6:25 p.m. on Brockway Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

At 8:20 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person reported a possible driver under the influence. Police located the vehicle and found the driver to allegedly be driving under the influence with a 6-year-old in the vehicle. Police arrested the driver for DUI, child endangerment and other vehicle code violations.

At 10:30 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police stopped a vehicle for code violations and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.

June 7

At 4:05 p.m. on West River Street a person reported possible subjects hiding in his house. The subject was found to be a juvenile allegedly in possession of tobacco products.

At 4:40 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person reported a lost or stolen wallet.

At 5 p.m. on River Park Place police responded to the alleged theft of radios from three trucks in a parking lot.

At 6 p.m. on Fairway Drive a person reported items stolen from a golf course. During a traffic stop in the immediate area, stolen items were allegedly discovered. Police arrested four subjects for possession of stolen property and the initial theft of goods.

At 9:40 p.m. on Saint Albans Place parents called police to report their son, who is currently on probation, had allegedly punched several holes in the wall and was in possession of a cigarette. Police took a report and forwarded it to the probation department.

At 9:45 p.m. on Donner Pass Road police received reports of two Truckee High School video cameras stolen after being left unattended on a picnic table.

At 11:20 p.m. on Interstate 80, police stopped a vehicle for allegedly speeding and found the driver to allegedly be driving on a suspended license. Police arrested the driver for violation of DMV probation.

June 8

At 4 p.m. on Donner Pass Road a person reported a backpack left in the parking lot. Police found the owner and released the property back to him.

June 9

At 1:45 p.m. on Brockway Road police arrested a person for alleged public intoxication.

At 2 p.m. on Glenshire Drive police stopped a vehicle for allegedly weaving and driving over the double yellow lines, and arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
