Truckee police suspect man in Butte County custody is responsible for Glenshire burglaries

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Police suspect a man in custody in Butte County is responsible for a pair of recent burglaries at the Glenshire General Store.
Adam McGregor, 38, of Oroville, Ca., was arrested in January in Butte County for attempted burglary, and he remains jailed at the Butte County Jail, according to a press release from the Truckee Police Department.
Truckee police believe McGregor burglarized the Glenshire store on Aug. 7, 2008, and again in January of this year.
The Department of Justice on Feb. 22 informed Truckee police that evidence collected from the 2008 Truckee burglary had been analyzed and led back to McGregor, leading the department to issue a felony arrest warrant for McGregor through the Nevada County District Attorneyand#8217;s Office.
and#8220;The method used to access the store was definitely unique, something not a lot of people would think about, so when you see that pattern it is very helpful to law enforcement,and#8221; said Capt. Harwood Mitchell with Truckee Police.
McGregor had been in prison in 2009 for other alleged burglaries in Northern California, according to Truckee police, and was released in December 2009.

According to the release, McGregor has allegedly been linked to dozens of other burglaries in northern Nevada and California, involving several other agencies and jurisdictions.
and#8220;There is going to be a lot of negotiation between different jurisdictions,and#8221; Mitchell said. and#8220;We have two fairly solid cases, but we may have to wait in line to get him.and#8221;
Call to the Butte County Sheriff’s Department were not immediately returned for this story.
