After a multi-month recruitment process, the airport picked Doug Mansel, the airside operations superintendent at Oakland International Airport, and announced his hiring on Monday. However, Mansel decided this week to stay at his Oakland job, according to a Thursday press release from Truckee Tahoe Airport.

The board will decide what’s next at its Thursday, March 25, meeting, in Kings Beach, in closed session, said Kevin Bumen, director of aviation, community relations and communications.

Senior staff was reorganized following Gotschall and Scott’s departures, eliminating the assistant general manager position and creating Bumen’s director of aviation, community relations and communications position, making Jane Dykstra the director of finances and administration, and Phred Stoner the director of operations and maintenance.
