Submitted to the Sun

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Truckee Tahoe Airport District invites community members to attend its Airport Community Team (ACT) Meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The meeting will focus on noise and annoyance outreach, providing an opportunity for residents, pilots, and stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue about minimizing and understanding the impact of airport operations on the surrounding community.

The event will take place at the Airport Terminal Building, starting at 6 p.m., and will also be available via Zoom. Attendees will learn about current noise abatement programs, how airspace is operated, and share their perspectives on how the airport can continue to be a good neighbor.

“We value the feedback from our community and are committed to addressing concerns about aircraft noise,” said Robb Etnyre, the airport’s General Manager, adding that this meeting is part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to foster transparency and collaboration.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District encourages everyone to participate and contribute to shaping policies that balance aviation needs with community well-being.  Light refreshments will be provided.
