Truckee, Tahoe area voters reject most ballot items

PLACER COUNTY ” Placer County voters overwhelmingly supported limiting salaries of elected officials during deficit years in Tuesday’s statewide special election.

More than 83 percent of the votes favored measure 1F, which was in stark contrast to the rest of the six ballot measures that were voted down locally, and across the state.

Voter turnout was weak at best in the Tahoe and Truckee region. Nevada County reported 36.2 percent turnout Tuesday, and Placer County reported 35.6 percent turnout.

Nevada County specific results are not available yet. Here’s the breakdown of Placer County:
