Truckee volleyball unbeaten in league

Staff reports

The Truckee High volleyball team defeated Fernley in three games, 25-18, 25-20, 25-14, on the road Thursday.

The Wolverines improved to 6-0 in Northern 3A league play and 23-3 overall.

Senior setter Megan Murphy collected 25 assists and three service aces, while junior Callan Finney recorded nine kills and junior Nikki Schneider seven kills.

Truckee coach Nicole Annaloro said junior middle blocker Kati Murphy filled in nicely for senior starter Melanie Lashbrook, who missed the match with a sprained ankle.

Lashbrook may or may not play against Sparks on Tuesday, Annaloro said.
