Truckee’s newest investment office opens

The newest branch of the national brokerage firm A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. opened in Truckee on Sept. 18.”We’re looking forward to serving Truckee investors with the kind of personal service A.G. Edwards is famous for,” Ken Roberts, Financial Consultant, said.Established in 1887, A.G. Edwards is a full-service investment firm with more than 6,861 financial consultants nationwide, making it the largest investment firm headquartered outside of Now York.”Things are growing here and there are a lot of people with investment concerns,” Roberts said. “We think Truckee has a great future ahead of it.”A 13-year-Truckee resident, Foster worked at A.G. Edwards & Sons in Reno for four years before starting the Truckee Branch.”Public response has been real positive,” he said.The firm is a member of the New York, American and other principal securities and commodities exchanges. There are 69 offices in California.Personal service has earned A.G. Edwards accolades in the national press. Kiplinger’s magazine gave A.G. Edwards the number one ranking in its survey of full-service investment firms. which appeared in the magazine’s “Stock 2000” issue. The Kiplinger’s survey was based on an evaluation of several categories of products and services.The office is based in the Airport Business Park at 12219 Business Park Dr. Suite 8.
