U.S. Forest Service leaders at Tahoe to hold open house

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; The two new top U.S. Forest Service officials at Lake Tahoe will hold an open house for the public Tuesday.

Earlier this year, Nancy Gibson was selected as forest supervisor and Jeff Marsolais was named deputy forest supervisor for the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.

Gibson had been deputy forest supervisor for the Six River National Forest of northern California, while Marsolais had been recreation and lands officer for the Inyo National Forest in California’s eastern Sierra Nevada.

Marsolais also had been acting forest supervisor at Lake Tahoe since November 2010.

The open house will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Forest Supervisor’s Office at 35 College Drive in South Lake Tahoe.
