Update: Dead body found at Incline Village residence; man arrested

An arrest has been made in connection with the death of an adult male whose body was found in a residence on Southwood Boulevard in Incline Village on Tuesday morning, Jan. 23.

Ismael Resendiz-Moreno was taken into custody. He is being charged with battery with a deadly weapon, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The incident is under investigation.


Authorities are investigating a death in Incline Village after an adult male was found dead in a residence on Southwood Boulevard on Tuesday morning, Jan. 23.

The cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, said Bob Harmon, public information officer for the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

An unidentified caller informed authorities about the incident.

The incident led to the closure of Southwood Boulevard at Tahoe Boulevard. A passerby said there were numerous emergency vehicles at the location.
