TRUCKEE and#8212; Event organizers are looking for more teams and more participants to help reach their goals for Truckee’s 2009 Relay for Life.

The event, which takes place July 18 at Truckee High School, hopes to host 32 teams and raise $58,000 for cancer research. So far the event has 21 teams and has raised more than $10,000.

This year will be Truckee’s 25th Relay for Life.

For the next month Relay for Life will host a table at Truckee Thursdays and each week a different team will man it, hoping to raise money, event organizer Judy Price said.

The event is also looking for people to decorate luminaria bags for the event.

People interested in participating or helping can contact relaylife.esther@sbcglobal.net.
