Voter registration deadline nears

The last day to register to vote for the June 3 state-wide direct primary election is May 19, according to a press release from the Placer County Clerk Jim McCauley.

Voters may register, find their polling place and find out election results by visiting

Registration forms are available at all post offices and libraries in Placer County or on line at Placer County Elections Division will be open during the weekends two weeks prior to the election and Memorial Day. Special hours for those dates are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to McCauley. Voters can call 886-5650 with questions or to request vote by mail ballots.
