Weather update: More snow falls on Truckee Tahoe

Weather, accidents and chain controls caused traffic delays in the Truckee Tahoe area Sunday afternoon with more snow expected this week.

More than a foot of snow has fallen in the Sierras Sunday with 22 inches abover 7000′.

Multiple accidents have been reported with Interstate 80 Westbound created a standstill for more than four hours.



Chain control is being enforced on Interstate 80, Highway 267 and Highway 50.

More snow expected Sunday night with 14 inches of snow are expected to fall by 4p.m. Monday.
