Weekend Weather and Resort Update

Winter came back to North Tahoe and Truckee Friday night as Saturday dawned with a light blanket of 2 to 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground. The dusting is forecasted to be just the beginning of a lingering winter weather pattern that will keep snow showers and brisk temps in the region through next week.

High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will not climb much past 30 degrees with intermittent snow showers and high winds forecasted for both days.

With fresh snow on the mountains it’s a great weekend to visit the local ski resorts. Five North Tahoe resorts have lifts spinning with limited operations.

Northstar-At-Tahoe –

Sugar Bowl –
