Widespread road work this week

From the summit to the state line, drivers will encounter various delays on Interstate 80 this week due to construction projects and road repairs.

From the Placer County line to the Donner Lake onramp motorists can expect the eastbound number one lane closed from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today as a Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Near Soda Springs drivers can expect the eastbound number two lane closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday as hazardous material from along the interstate is removed.



From Yuba Gap to the Placer County line drivers can expect the east and westbound number one lane closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do slap repairs.

From Donner Lake to the chain control area there will be lane closures from 5 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5 a.m. to noon Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do slab repairs.




The eastbound on-ramp from Donner Lake will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do paving.

On Highway 89 north from I-80 to Prosser Hill Road motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled for grinding and paving.

On Highway 89 south from Goose Meadows Campground to Alpine Meadows there will be intermittent one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. for grinding and paving.
