Wild West fun in Truckee

Sierra Sun Staff

More than 1,000 area residents and visitors turned out for Truckee’s first Wild West Fest, a new Snowfest event. Although the total funds raised have not been tallied, Rachelle Pellissier, president of the Truckee-Donner Chamber of Commerce, said the event’s debut was a success.

The Jeep raffle, sponsored by the Truckee Downtown Merchants, was the highlight. There were 1,130 tickets sold of the 2,000 available, but only one ticket won: partners Paul and Candy Bullion and Jill Ebner. (See Page 4B).

“Everyone had a great time,” Pellissier said. “We are looking forward to next year already.”
