Wilkins appointed to Tahoe City PUD board

Dan Wilkins, Truckee’s public works director, was recently selected to fill a seat on the Tahoe City Public Utility District Board of Directors. The seat was formerly held by Ric Winter, who announced his resignation in April due to relocation out of the district.

A 10-year resident of the West Shore, Wilkins also serves as president of the Tahoe Pines Homeowners Association and as a board member of the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association. Wilkins and his wife, Suzanne, have a young son and reside in Tahoe Pines.

The board interviewed four candidates for the position, but voted unanimously for Wilkins May 30.

“Dan was selected based upon his knowledge, experience and our goal to best represent the broad nature of our community,” said Board President Ron Treabess.

“As a civil engineer, public works director and father of a young son, Dan adds new and valuable perspectives to the board of directors.”

The seat will be open for election this fall.
