Winter transit schedules end Easter weekend

Sun staff reports

The winter transit season will soon come to a close for North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

April 8 will be the final day of the season’s extended day and night service provided by TART, The Town of Truckee and the Tahoe Transportation District. Refer back to the spring and fall schedules.

Overall, ridership was up about 10 percent this year, and through mid-March over 15,000 passengers rode the night service shuttles offered in Truckee and on the North Shore.

Residents and visitors can expect increased services once the summer season kicks off with day and night trolleys, the return of the Emerald Bay Shuttle and some new routes.

For additional information or schedules check the buses, rack cards or online at http://www.laketahoetransit.com. You can also call the TNT-TMA at 581-4892.
