Woman arrested on stabbing allegations

An escalated domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old Kings Beach woman.

Glenda Bronson allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Matthew Fry, 26, both of Kings Beach, on Tuesday around 2 p.m., said Placer County sheriff’s Lt. John Addoms.

Following an argument at their Kings Beach residence, Bronson reportedly armed herself with a steak knife and “repeatedly went after [Fry], slashing him and stabbing him,” said Addoms.

Fry raised his arms defensively to block his face and chest, and was slashed on the arm and stabbed in the hand. He then drove to his parents home in Sparks, Nev., before being treated and released at a Sparks hospital.

Fry reported the event with the Sparks Police Department.

Bronson was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by Placer County sheriff’s deputies.

Bronson is currently being held without bail at the Tahoe City jail awaiting her arraignment hearing scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 14 in Auburn.
