Woodcutting season is ending soon

Woodcutters are reminded that there are only two more weeks to buy a woodcutting permit for the Tahoe National Forest. Permits can be purchased until October 31 and wood can be cut until Nov. 15, depending on the weather. Two-cord (minimum) permits cost $20. These are nonrefundable. Woodcutters need to call the applicable district office to determine if any fire or wet road restrictions are in effect. The following offices are selling permits for the TNF:
