Youth golf program comes to North Tahoe

The First Tee program (http://www.thefirstteenorthernnevada.org), dedicated to introducing youth to the joys and benefits of golf, is coming to the North Lake Tahoe region.

The Rotary Club of Tahoe City in collaboration with The First Tee Northern Nevada, Reno and the Old Brockway Golf Course, will present the first opportunity for youth in the North Lake Tahoe region to participate in the first ever First Tee program on the North Shore.

Classes for ages 6 to 8 (9-10:30 a.m.) and ages 9 to 12 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will be held July 23 through 27 and July 30 through August 3 at the Old Brockway Golf Course in Kings Beach. Fees for four day classes are $60 for ages 6 to 8 and $80 for the 9-12 year olds. Equipment is available as are some limited scholarships.
