Zam, Joseph E.

Beloved father and husband, Joseph E. Zam, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Aug. 23, 2008. Joe was born in Toledo, Ohio and spent 30 years in Los Angeles, before relocating to Truckee, to join his daughters. He is survived and greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Joan Zam, daughters Renee Grennan, Corrie Northan and Laura Zam, Son-in-laws Paul Grennan and Mike Northan, grandchildren Natalie Grennan and Joey Grennan, Sister Mary Glassman, nieces Michelle Maryan and Lisa Perry and a very large extended family in Toledo, Ohio that were important in his life.

Joe was always known for his charming personality and captivating smile that could light up any room. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, horseback riding and working in his garden, and you could almost always find him listening to Frank Sinatra.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 8:30 a.m. at Assumption Church in Truckee, Calif.
