Aikido beginner classes starting this month in Truckee

TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; If you are curious about learning more about a Martial Art that focuses on resolving conflict and personal growth, check out the Aikido classes offered through Truckee Donner Recreation andamp; Parks District.Aikido is great for health, wellbeing, and stress relief and teaches you how to be centered and calm. Many call Aikido the andamp;#8220;peaceful Martial Artandamp;#8221; because the philosophy is based on conflict resolution rather than learning to fight. You will soon realize you will be developing great self defense skills, but more importantly embarking on a path of self discovery and personal growth. Learning key Aikido principals of centering, moving from core and economy of movement will improve your skiing. A new Beginner Class will be offered Wednesdays starting Nov. 3, 6:30-7:45 p.m. at The Veterans Hall. Cost is $35 for the six week series andamp;#8212; or drop in for $10 per class.
