Ali North rises at Switchback

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Ali North joined the Switchback PR + Marketing team in August 2011, where she started as an intern. During her internship, North served as a steering committee member for the Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk and Shop and provided account support to the rest of the team. In October, she was promoted to account coordinator. Her responsibilities include client relations, co-event chair for Switchback PR + Marketing events, press release development, media relations and new business development.

North has a sales and hospitality background in the tourism industry. Before joining Switchback, she spent her winters in Alta, Utah working at the Goldminerand#8217;s Daughter Lodge as assistant manager in the Top of the Lodge Restaurant. While spending three winters in Alta, she found a passion for skiing. During the summers, North lived in Haines/ Skagway, Alaska, working for ChilkatGuides Ltd. North worked closely with the cruise ship industry selling daily river trips to major cruise lines, including Princess, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruise Lines and Holland America. While earning great sales experience, she explored Alaskaand#8217;s wilderness and found beauty in the simplicity of the Alaskan life.

Ms. North earned her bachelorand#8217;s in business with an emphasis in marketing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She is a native Oklahoman, but has explored the west since graduating college. Arriving at Lake Tahoe in May of 2011, she discovered the active lifestyle: skiing, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, crocheting, hula hooping or enjoying the beautiful scenery.
