Alpenglow Sports announces Lake Tahoe winter film series’ final installment
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Alpenglow Sports is proud to announce the fourth and final installment of their annual Lake Tahoe Winter Film Series. Tahoe Cityand#8217;s community-inclined mountain shop saves the best for last with world-renown adventure climber Mike Libecki on Feb. 16.
Join big wall rock climber Libecki for a journey to some of the most remote corners of the climbing world. Libeckiand#8217;s search for massive, unclimbed rock formations has taken him to Afghanistan, Antarctica, Yemen, Venezuela, China and Baffin Island. Experience adventure climbing in every weather condition imaginable, where the danger level is high and rescue impossible. Along the way, meet amazing cultures, polar bears, deadly scorpions and tick-bugs stuck to susceptible body parts.
Libecki will tell climbing tales from stunning places on Earth, in the hope of inspiring people to not ration passion.
The show is free and is designed to motivate, inspire and educate! Amazing raffle prizes from sponsors Black Diamond, Mountain Hardwear and Sterling Ropes. Raffle proceeds to benefit the Tahoe Institute of Natural Science.
