Alpenglow Winter Film Series 2009-10

The Alpenglow Winter Film Series presented by Alpenglow Sports will kick off its third season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19. The series will be shown at The Sawtooth Ridge Cafe in the heart of Tahoe City. The program will continue with one show each month through February.

Alpenglow Sports along with Dave Nettle, local climbers, backcountry skiers and outdoor enthusiasts have come together to organize this community event.

The programs will spotlight world-class athletes and their latest adventures. Representatives from local and global charities will be on hand in order to raise awareness. Join the quality community event combined with a focus on community service and charity.



There is no charge and everyone is welcome. The bar and restaurant will be open for drinks and a bite to eat. People are encouraged to arrive early for good seating.

The series will cover a variety of topics including extreme alpinism, mountaineering , Rock Climbing and backcountry skiing.



Local favorite Dave Nettle climbs his way through Yosemite with humor and style Thursday. The series continues with Andrew McLean on Dec. 17, Rock Climber extraordinaire Alex Honnold shares his recent accomplishments on Jan. 21. Biking for a Better World will take us on a ride down the Continental Divide, Thursday Feb. 11. Call Alpenglow Sports at 583-6917 for information.
