TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; A new childrenand#8217;s book, and#8220;The Legend of Eagle Rockand#8221; featuring Lake Tahoe was released in June and has been read by or to children throughout North America. and#8220;The Legend of Eagle Rock,and#8221; written by chiropractor Dr. Tim Schroeder, tells the story of a young boy named Eagle who climbs a rock, looks at a beautiful view and discovers because the view is so big he must be a part of it.

Since he is part of the view Eagle discovers he must be beautiful too. Dr. Schroeder has been involved in teaching the concepts of health and wellness on an international stage for many years. and#8220;Children need to realize that we all have an internal, innate beauty inside of us. Once kids see that we share the beauty in each other it leads to self esteem and self worth. These are the pillars to happiness and allow children to see themselves as individuals with their own creative contribution to our world,and#8221; he said.

Eagle, the main character in the book, realizes looking at things that seem ordinary to some can be quite extraordinary, depending on the point of view. The principles of health and respect for our environment are integrated into the story as Eagle becomes a leader of his people. Children and adults seem to love this book that is beautifully illustrated by Alex Greer, a native of Madrid, Spain who now resides in the San Diego area.

The story helps children to understand taking a risk, like climbing a rock, can lead to great adventure and their effort can reward them with the discovery of their purpose in life. At one point in the story Eagle turns to his friend and says, and#8220;I think the secret to becoming an adult is discovering how I fit into the view.and#8221;

The book is being well accepted in the health professions and recommended by experts in the wellness movement. Dr. Steve Hoffman from Discover Wellness, Inc said, and#8220;This is a truly timeless message that every child should have read to them and, when old enough, read themselves. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it and you will too.and#8221;

The Lake Tahoe area has long been known for its magnificent views and now there is a childrenand#8217;s book that shares the idea of how a beautiful view can make a difference in the life of the person who is enjoying it.
