TAHOE/TRUCKEE andamp;#8212; Soule Domain in Crystal Bay is hosting a reception for local artist Carole Sesko Wednesday, Feb. 16, 4:30-6 p.m. Enjoy a complementary appetizer and half price beverages while viewing Sesko’s latest collection of acrylic paintings and mixed media collage, presented in a 1927 historic log cabin.Carole Sesko’s art works will be on exhibit through May 2. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, and Simon’s Rock College, Sesko paints with acrylics applied onto canvas, wood, paper, and metal. Her paintings have a luminous quality, created by layering metallic paints with washes of solid color. Celebrate the creativity of 38 regional artists at the gala opening reception of Weather! a Juried Art Exhibit, Friday, Feb. 11, 5-7 p.m. at the Truckee Donner Recreation andamp; Park District Community Recreation Center, 8924 Donner Pass Road, Truckee.
