Arts and humanities scholarship for Tahoe and Truckee students commemorates Ed Plaut

TRUCKEE/TAHOE andamp;#8212; The Ed Plaut, Jr. Arts andamp; Humanities Scholarship has been established at Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation by Kellie and Jeff Cutler with inaugural contributions made by James and Shelley Plaut Prisco, Gordon and Laurie Plaut, K. Beth Oandamp;#8217;Donnell and other family members of Ed Plaut. This is the first Arts andamp; Humanities Scholarship established at Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. A scholarship will be awarded annually to a gifted graduating senior from Truckee or North Tahoe High School who is pursuing a career in the arts or journalism. The scholarship commemorates Plautandamp;#8217;s passion for the arts and lifelong professional and personal devotion to politics and journalism. andamp;#8220;Scholarships are so important for students in our community,andamp;#8221; says Ann Pridgen, director of donor engagement at Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. andamp;#8220;If you would like to recognize the generosity of Kellie and Jeff Cutler and their family members by supporting a scholarship in arts or journalism, we would welcome your help in contributing to this fund at any level.andamp;#8221;Scholarship funds with Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation can be set up to ensure worthy students can realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school. The Foundationandamp;#8217;s status as a public charity ensures donors andamp;#8212; to these and other funds andamp;#8212; receive the maximum tax deductions available under the law.
